Collision repair after an accident can take quite some time because it is typically a multi-stage process. Even something as minimal as a dent on your vehicle could become incredibly time-consuming because of the multiple steps involved in rectifying even the smallest of damage. In this article we will talk about the process for Collision Repair so that you know what to expect when you next need services like this.
Today if you have dents in your vehicle the process for collision repair is considered a paintless dent repair. This means that the paint on your vehicle and the Finish you have is not damaged but the dent is removed. This type of repair usually involves placing pics and rods on either side of the panel and gradually working the material back into the original shape. Most vehicles have steel bodies with an ongoing mental memory which allows them to bend naturally back into shape. When this repair is done correctly by experience to technicians all of the dents can be removed from your vehicle.
Paintless dent collision repair is an excellent method for repairing smaller dents but there might be situations where your panels are not just dented but they have cracked lines in the Finish or the paint is damaged. If that happens then you will need to hire services to do dent removal practices with a repair to the Finish or paint. Older style finishes might be easily removed so that the technicians can simply repaint or retouch the entire body panel after the dentist has been fixed.
If you are interested in learning more about dent repair, or you need access to dent repair in multiple areas for your collision repair it is always best to work with an experienced collision repair shop. Working with a company that has years of experience can be a helpful way to move forward with your dent repairs.

April 19, 2019, 10:43 AM REPLYThat’s cool that you can have a dent taken out of your car without taking the paint off of it. I would definitely want to make sure that my car still looks good after it’s repaired. Hopefully, that could help your car look better than ever.

May 8, 2019, 5:25 AM REPLYI wanted to thank you for helping me learn how a dent on a car is done. You mentioned that painless dent collision repair is a good way to repair smaller dents. I’m kind of interested to learn how small the dents could be or if it could also depend on how deep the dent is.

In my opinion, it would be important to have an expert work on the dent so that it can look as good as before it was first damaged. I’ll have to look further into dent removal and if paintless dent removal is an option.
